I was thrilled to share my love of baking and candy making with a group of exchange students who were in America to learn about our culture. These kids from five different countries spent a day in my kitchen baking, laughing, learning, and eating. They had never eaten brownies and couldn't believe that something so delicious actually was made by adding a few ingredients to Pillsbury brownie mix. During the day we created an edible piece of art representing our global community and used chocolate covered brownies as bases for each country’s flag. What a sweet day.

My son, a college student, misses home cooked meals and sweets terribly. So, in an effort to ease the sweet tooth, I send baked goods to him at school. He shares them with his roommate and friends. This helps ease the home sick feeling a bit, and makes him and his friends happy. His favorite treat is Pillsbury Funfetti Cake topped with Pillsbury Whipped Supreme Vanilla Funfetti Icing. It brings out the child in him, and eases the stress during finals. My son and his friends just love the way I make America sweeter!
