  • Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 1/2 cup Pillsbury BEST™ All Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup quick rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large egg whites, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Powdered sugar
Preparation Directions
  • Step 1Heat oven to 350ºF. Lightly coat an 8x8-inch baking pan with no-stick cooking spray.
  • Step 2Combine flour, oats, cocoa, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Combine sugar, water, oil and vanilla in separate bowl. Stir egg whites and nuts into sugar mixture. Add flour mixture. Mix well. Pour into prepared pan.
  • Step 3Bake 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into 12 bars.
