Fringe Cake Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 box Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Yellow Cake &Cupcake Mix
Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix per box instructions
4 tubs Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Vanilla Flavored Frosting
Food coloring (assorted desired colors)
Piping bags
Grass piping tip (number 234
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS
Step 1
PREPARE cake mix according to box instructions for 2 layers. Cool completely. Optional: Level cakes with a serrated knife to remove rounded tops of cakes.
STEP 2
PLACE first cake round onto a serving plate. Add vanilla frosting and spread evenly for one layer. Top with second cake round.
STEP 3
TINT remaining frosting tubs into 3-4 desired colors and mix until combined, using food coloring.
Step 4
SPOON each color of frosting into a piping bag fitted with a grass piping tip. Alternatively frost the cake to create the “fringe”, using different colors. Top with sprinkles from frosting lids.
